I read that the FDA was trying to shut down electronic cigarettes with the reason being “it may lead non-smokers to then become nicotine addicts” even though they provide a more realistic path to quitting smoking altogether. The most recent information I’ve found about this was posted way back in April.

A new fire Safety law is changing the way cigarettes are made and sold across the state. Starting January 1, 2010, cigarette manufacturers will only be allowed to distribute new fire-Safe cigarettes in Michigan.
