Why Does The Fda Want To Ban Electronic Cigarettes?
Electronic cigarettes have helped thousands of people stop smoking. Even people that had no intention to quit smoking have quit after trying e-cigs. David Baron, former chief of staff at UCLA Medical Center, says that he has never seen a product – ever – that stands to save as many lives as electronic cigarettes.
Yet, the FDA says they MIGHT be dangerous and is taking steps to ban them so that people will continue to smoke real cigarettes.
MIGHT be dangerous? Compared to REAL cigarettes?…that kill more people than anything on earth?

Well, this is a loaded question. In my opinion, the FDA does not want to ban them. It is no big secret that the FDA receives revenues from the taxation of the tobacco and pharmacological industry. They are using this action to gain jurisdiction over the product so that it can be regulated as a tobacco product. By banning the ecig the product will be forced to go through testing as well as an application process that will instantly classify the ecig as a medical device and the liquid used in the electronic cigarette will become a controlled substance. This will allow them to tax the electronic cigarette and receive the revenue from the product. It is not about Safety as much as it is about money.
You’re right, it’s absolutely insane. Sure, we need more studies on the long-term Safety of these things, but cigarettes are *known* to kill people. This is an example of bureaucracy gone mad and intentionally hurting the people it’s supposed to help.
